At the beginning of 2026, La Cometa moves into a period of heightened activity: our first fair of the year, an ongoing artist residency, and new exhibitions that will activate our spaces in three cities throughout February.

We take part in ZONAMACO, the most relevant contemporary art platform in Latin America, with a proposal that brings together history, body, territory, and economy through incisive practices and memory-laden materials. Works that unsettle, shift, and reframe the ways in which we engage with the present. A key moment in the contemporary art calendar.

Adrián Gaitán avanza en su residencia en Collegium (España). Desde el mobiliario y la arquitectura colonial, y a partir de materiales reutilizados, su proyecto tensiona ideas de prestigio, clase y herencia cultural, llevando lo histórico al borde de lo precario. Acompañamos este proceso con plena convicción en la solidez y la fuerza del resultado que se está construyendo.
Adrián Gaitán is currently advancing his residency at Collegium (Spain). Working from colonial models of furniture and architecture, and using reused and everyday materials, his project interrogates ideas of prestige, class, and cultural inheritance, pushing historical forms toward a state of precarity. We are closely accompanying this process, fully confident in the strength and clarity of the work taking shape.
