En cada obra, un gesto solidario se transforma en esperanza. La Subasta Anual de Arte de la Fundación Oír es Vivir no es solo un encuentro con la belleza, sino también una invitación a participar en una causa que devuelve a miles de personas el derecho a escuchar el mundo.

En un rincón de la ciudad, el arte se alista para hablar en voz baja. No para gritar verdades ni imponer discursos, sino para tender la mano. Para escuchar.
Bajo el lema “Invierte en arte, transforma vidas”, la Fundación Oír es Vivir celebrará, del 28 al 31 de agosto, su VIII Subasta Anual de Arte, un gesto colectivo donde más de 75 artistas ceden su obra para que otros, quizás por primera vez, puedan oír la voz de un ser querido, el canto de un ave o una palabra de aliento.

No se trata solo de una subasta. Es un acto de resonancia humana. Un puente entre la belleza y la necesidad, entre la creación y el cuidado. La cita presencial será el 28 de agosto en GAC Motor Panamá. La versión virtual —esa que no entiende de distancias ni de horarios— estará abierta hasta el 31, como una galería silenciosa donde cada obra espera un gesto solidario.
La Fundación, que desde hace más de quince años trabaja incansablemente por la salud auditiva de miles de panameños, ha logrado convertir el arte en una herramienta, con la que cada pincelada, cada forma y cada trazo donado se transforman en un eco que viaja de la mirada al oído y del corazón a la escucha. Esta herramienta también permitirá sostener programas como el Banco de Audífonos, las clínicas móviles y las jornadas escolares, a través de los cuales más de 30,000 personas ya han recibido atención.
Hay algo profundamente bello en esta iniciativa: artistas que dan sin esperar, coleccionistas que compran con propósito, y un equipo que cree en el poder de una causa sencilla y esencial: que todos podamos escuchar el mundo.

Under the motto “Invest in art, transform lives”, the Oír es Vivir Foundation will hold its VIII Annual Art Auction from August 28 to 31, a collective gesture where more than 75 artists donated their work so that others, perhaps for the first time, may hear the voice of a loved one, the song of a bird, or a word of encouragement.

This is not just an auction. It is an act of human resonance. A bridge between beauty and need, between creation and care. The in-person event will take place on August 28 at GAC Motor Panamá. The virtual edition —one that knows neither of distances or schedules— will remain open until the 31st, like a silent gallery where each work awaits a gesture of solidarity.
For more than fifteen years, the Foundation has worked tirelessly for the hearing health of thousands of Panamanians, turning art into a tool through which every brushstroke, every shape, and every donated trace becomes an echo that travels from the gaze to the ear and from the heart to listening. This tool also sustains programs such as the Hearing Aid Bank, mobile clinics, and school campaigns, through which more than 30,000 people have already received care.
There is something profoundly beautiful in this initiative: artists who give without expecting anything in return, collectors who purchase with purpose, and a team that believes in the power of a simple yet essential cause: that we may all be able to hear the world.
